a guide in starting your wedding preparation right (the beginning)

So we are now officially down to 6 months before our BIG DAY, all I can say is that twas really a tough road since we've been planning this wedding from July last year I never thought it would be easy but i never thought it would be this hard :P surprise!! We've been engage since 2012 and was official last December (pamamanhikan in the Philippines) all i can say is that even in pamamanhikan the feeling is surreal its like a roller coaster of feelings never thought it would be like that, starting from the time that you have to ask your parents if H2B is going to bring his family with him to our house (nakakatakot pa naman si papa) but then he said yes; then at the pamamanhikan time i never expected him to cry so lahat kami naiyak din, the feeling is like he entrusted you to h2b and family and just a thought of it that they are letting go of their beautiful, wonderful and treasured daughters like us just hit me at that time.. akala ko im just excited at the fact na mamamanhikan na sila and we're getting married soon haaaaay a lil mixture of excitement, happiness and sadness sa part na yun... masarap pa din ang traditional style ung dadaan ka sa ganito full of love and blessings sa family nyo alam ko agree kayo jan <3

all of us girls wanted our dream wedding some want it simple the others extravagant, we have different types of weddings in different types of religion so for me na born again christian me and H2B decided a garden wedding :) tada!! and so you know my dream wedding is a extravagant one haha dream lang nmn yun pero di na sya applicable sa Pinas from simple weddings sa bonggang wedding everything is expensive so kailangan natin maging practical nowadays, I bet you wouldn't like to have a very expensive wedding and become empty handed and full of debts the next day dba? its a no no for every one. so let's cut the introduction short and just insert some of my stories in between ok ba un?..

I hope this blog would help you to plan and create your own dream wedding mga ka-bride to be.. are you excited? I am too ('',) heads up girls :)

Here's a few tips to begin with:

  • Your journey begins with a journal (so have one) this would be your best friend from now on promise! better have a big one! i advise you to have your favorite pen with your favorite color so it would mood while you write on it, better not stick in one color make it coded also para medyo may spice and lesser stress kasi di boring yung journal mo..
  • Think of what you really like, want and love for your wedding (of course isulat mo yan) list it all that comes through your mind, time will come you have to remove one of each and change with the other so expect a messy journal a very messy one haha!!
  • Read a lot of blogs, books, magazines, social media posts related to weddings (when i say read a lot i meant it) read read read...
  • Don't decide unless discussed to H2b of course i know most of us girls are so hands on and excited that we tend to forgot that we're not the only one's getting married here so let h2b participate para naman time will not come na you would say you're the only one fixing your wedding then you are so stressed na. girls girls girls tsk!
  • Decide on a wedding date. it may be your anniversary, your birthday, parents anniversary or anything basta mutual decision then go! (for us its my parents wedding anniversary) of course you also have to consider kung weekends ba to syempre it should be convenient to your visitor specially to your entourage. check the season of that month if it will fall on rainy days or summer I'll tell you why on my next blog :) advise your relatives or mga sponsors coming from other country's a year and a half if possible prior to the wedding date so that they can set their vacation schedule and be with them on your special day :)
  • Have a number of visitors. 100 pax, 200pax 300pax it will also help you to your next path
  • Decide your budget. 50k, a hundredk, 200k; 300k and so on pero dapat may pa sobra ka, depending sa type mo na kasal whether its simple or extravagant and your number of visitors as well. For me I wanted a cheap, budget friendly, unique yet classy and elegant wedding as much as possible and i bet you girls wanted the same :)

"parang raffle lang yan, the more visitors you have the higher the budget you'll be needing"

  • Decide on where to get married. it should be a very meaningful place to you sabi nga weddings are all about what you both are, something valued or part of your life.. it could also a place where you grow up.. here are some choices for you..
    1. Church wedding
    2. Garden wedding
    3. Beach wedding
    4. Destination wedding
    5. Backyard wedding
    6. Civil wedding

"for me and H2b we chose Garden wedding as i have mentioned above and we are getting married in BULACAN where we both grow up :)"

  • Pick a theme. you have a lot of choices to choose from, it can be rustic, shabby chic, great gatsby, country, disney, nautical, travel etc. for us we picked fairytale theme sa ceremony and stars sa reception its weird though haha :)

i can recommend  https://www.pinterest.com/ from their tag line "the world's catalog of ideas" believe me they are serious about it,
